Dr. Steve Shaw is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Practitioners, American Veterinary Academy of Dermatology, and the American Veterinary Academy of Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Shaw was the consulting and practicing avian veterinarian for the Wild Wings Bird Show at Sea World-Six Flags Show from 1997-2001. In pursuing his medical interests in internal medicine, he has taken a curriculum that has allowed him to be proficient in abdominal ultrasound and gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Although Avian medicine and Dermatology are Dr. Shaw’s' real passions, he is always challenged and strives to be a perfectionist in Dentistry, Cardiology, and Internal Medicine.
As many clients know, he also has a career as a Professional Golfer, playing in events on the European Senior Tour. He turned pro in 2004 and has competed in many events domestically and internationally, including the Senior British Open and Nationwide Tour.
Dr. Shaw and his wife Susan moved to Hilton Head Island in 2023. They have a daughter Stephanie and their two dogs are a golden retriever named Royal Troon and a golden doodle named Dune.
