My childhood ambition was always to work with animals and I had a zoo of pets growing up in Alabama. However, I started my career in marine biology with a BS degree from the University of South Alabama and work with the Auburn University Marine Research Extension and Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Although I loved my years as a marine research technician, I followed my true calling to veterinary medicine at Auburn University and graduated in 1997. After practicing in Michigan and Pawleys Island, SC, my husband Chris and I bought Bluffton Veterinary Hospital in 2001. It has been a real pleasure to grow with this community and to meet so many wonderful people and the special pets that share their lives. We now feel Bluffton is our real home and look forward to raising our 3 children (Willow, Chloe, Oscar) here in the Lowcountry. We consider it a privilege to care for the pets and people of this community.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about Bluffton Veterinary Hospital and our staff. My name is Christopher Conley and I have been a resident of Bluffton since February of 2001. My wife, Laurie, and I moved here from Pawleys Island and purchased BVH as a small one doctor practice. As a result of dedication and hard work we have turned this once small practice into the premiere pet care facility in the lowcountry, but our road here was a long one. I grew up in Lexington, KY and attended Depauw Universtity in Greencastle, IN and graduated with a major in Biology and a minor in Philosophy. I also played varsity soccer and ran cross country. Throughout my college experience I developed a passion for veterinary medicine through voluntering for a local humane society and working each summer at a veterinary hospital. Upon graduation I applied to several veterinary schools and was fortunate enough to be accepted to Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. It was one of the most exhilerating days of my life to learn my dream of attending one of the premier veterinary schools in the country had come true.
While at school I met my wife and future business partners Laurie (Dr Scarbrough around the hospital to avoid confusion) and Dr Chad Nance. Upon graduation Laurie and I moved to Detroit, MI where I completed a 1 year internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists. Through this grueling 80 hour/week program I learned extensive advanced surgical and medical skills I still draw upon daily.

My name is Travis Davison and I am a January 2008 graduate of the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. I grew up in Charleston, SC and Wilmington, NC, and attended the College of Charleston for my undergraduate studies. After working for a year and a half out of college, I decided to make a drastic career change to veterinary medicine. That decision led to 6 more years of school and took me through two countries, and now my new home is here in Bluffton. My furry family includes my two dogs Madison and Grady and my cat Mo (Navin and Ophelia's brother). Within veterinary medicine my interests include internal medicine, ultrasound, and oncology.

I was born and raised right here in Bluffton, SC and was part of the first graduating class of Bluffton High School. I started working at Bluffton Veterinary Hospital in 2002 as an animal care assistant. After graduating high school I attended Clemson University, where I earned my degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. I spent the next four years at The University of Georgia earning my doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After eight years of working summers at BVH, I have returned as a DVM. It is great and exciting to be back working where it all began. I have one dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, named Zuri. Within veterinary medicine, I find myself interested in Dentistry, Neurology, and surgery.
