Bluffton Veterinary Hospital is doing our best to help keep pets healthy during this time, as well as protect our staff and the general public.  In the coming weeks, our protocols for appointments may change as regulations/recommendations are altered by the authorities.

We ask that if you are sick or have been directly exposed to someone that is sick, please reschedule your appointment or arrange for someone else to bring your pet in.  If you are sick and have an ill patient, please contact us and will do our best to accommodate you.

We are able to see some new clients again at this time, but we still will be making our current clients a priority on days with limited appointment availability.  Starting on Monday, March 1st, 2021, we will begin allowing some "indoor" appointments again.  We ask that it consist of just 1 pet owner owner per appointment and that they wear a mask while inside our facility.  Our goal is to allow more direct communication but maintain some safety within the hospital.  This is subject to change, of course, if there were any health concerns that we needed to address.  We will keep our website and Facebook page updated with any changes.

This is a stressful time for everyone and we ask for your patience as we continue to do our best to serve our clients and patients in the Bluffton community.

At Bluffton Veterinary Hospital, we treat your pets like the valued family members they are.

  • "I am so very grateful to Dana and Angela - My dog Joe and my son were bit by a dog on a Saturday night. I was too upset to think straight. Angela was there to advise, checked Joe's wound and assured all would be well. She was very calm, gentle and kind. Dana met us at Vet within 20 minutes. She was awesome. Kind, patient, gentle with Joe. She had my dog cleaned up and examined thoroughly. Most professional! She was concerned about my sons dog bite as well. We left knowing Joe was in the best of care and was going to be fine once he healed up. I couldn't have asked for better care! Thank you so very much!
It is the best Vet experience I have ever had. I just moved to SC and I really lucked out choosing Bluffton Veterinary. Highly recommend them.
    Thank you Dana and Angela!"

  • "I was very happy with them! It was when everyone was gone from the Island so I had to try a new Vet. Very, very pleased! Quick, easy and understanding people!"
    Amy Hamilton
  • "For nearly 13 years, we took our dog to another clinic which just seemed so "corporate", but it was conveniently located close to home. When our dog became seriously ill, the difference between "corporate" and "caring" was clearly evident, which is why we switched over to BVH. After performing an ultrasound the other practice couldn't do (because they didn't have the equipment), Dr. Nance explained everything in detail...kindly and compassionately. In the end, Dr. Nance visited our home with an assistant to help our pet to truly rest in peace. Dr. Nance and BVH earned our trust at a time that was most difficult for us. Last week, we adopted two 3-month old Dobie siblings, and we know exactly where we'll be going for veterinary care in the future. Thank you, BVH and Dr. Nance for showing that you truly care about our pets."

  • "So happy we found Bluffton Veterinary Hospital. We've been to several local vets since moving here full time 3 years ago but have never experienced the genuine compassion, care and concern that Dr. Scarborough and the staff showed for our ailing kitty on our first visit last week. They provided potential solutions to maintain a quality of life for her that other vets had not proposed and at a time when we thought our only choice was to say goodbye. We won't go anywhere else from now on and will be bringing both of our girls to Bluffton Veterinary Hospital for all of their care needs. The follow up text message the day after our visit inquiring about our kitty was genuine, sincere and deeply appreciated!"

  • "Dr Caudill was friendly and concise. The rest of the staff was also friendly and efficient. A great experience."
    Jennifer McEwen
  • "Bluffton Veterinary Hospital is outstanding! Unfortunately, my husband and I had to take our Johnny Boy to have surgery done twice! Each time Dr. White has been our go to Vet and he has never let us down! Not only does this place offer great services, the staff is wonderful! Of course we worry about our Johnny Boy, but we have known that each time he is not only getting the treatment he needs, but the love and attention from ALL staff. Whether it is an annual check-up or a critical circumstance we both fully recommend their services! Thank you all for saving our Johnny Boy!"

  • "We were in Hilton Head on vacation and had an emergency with our Shih Tzu. There wasn’t a single office on the island that would see him, some because we weren’t a client, some were double booked and some we’d have to wait for few hours to be seen when he needed immediate care. We called to the Bluffton Veterinary Hospital, they were the nicest and said they’d see him as soon as we could get him there. Dr Davison and the staff that saw him was wonderful, if we have any issues while there again we will definitely call them."
